Overview

Shlyapa (Шляпа) is a word-guessing party game for iPhone, developed as an independent family project. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains what information we collect (very little) and how we use it.

In short: We do not collect any personal data. Everything stays on your device.

Information We Collect

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The app stores the following data locally on your device using Apple’s standard storage (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:

Game preferences — Round length, score target, sound and haptics toggle settings
Current game snapshot — Teams, scores, and game configuration, so an unfinished game survives an app restart
Word history — Which words from the built-in word packs have already been shown, so words don’t repeat too soon
Purchased packs — Which word packs you have unlocked, so they stay available offline

This data is stored only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

Names, email addresses, or contact information
Location data
Device identifiers (advertising ID, vendor ID, or any unique identifiers)
Usage analytics or behavioral data
Photos, camera, microphone, or any sensor data
Browsing history or search queries

In-App Purchases

The app offers optional word packs as one-time purchases through Apple’s App Store. These transactions are processed entirely by Apple using their secure payment infrastructure. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or any transaction details beyond what Apple provides to developers in aggregate sales reports.

Third-Party Services

The app does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks beyond Apple’s own native frameworks (SwiftUI, StoreKit, AVFoundation). There are no:

Analytics services (no Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)
Advertising networks
Crash reporting services
Social media integrations
Tracking or attribution tools

Children’s Privacy

Shlyapa includes a kids content mode and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or adults. Since the app collects no personal data whatsoever, it is compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide.

We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any data to share.

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s standard mechanisms, it is protected by your device’s built-in security features, including device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete. Your locally stored game preferences and word history can be reset by uninstalling the app. Purchased word packs can always be restored via “Restore Purchases” after reinstalling.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version here with an updated effective date. Significant changes will be noted in app update release notes.
